When do you choose compression stockings pressure class 2?

Compression stockings in pressure class 2 (23–32 mmHg) are recommended for sports recovery, moderate to severe venous oedema, varicose veins, fluid retention or recovery after injury or surgery.
They exert firm, tapering pressure: the highest pressure at the ankle, decreasing towards the lower leg. This supports blood flow back to the heart, reduces swelling, and helps relieve pain.

Herzog's PRO Compression Socks combine this medical-grade performance with athletic features: breathable, antibacterial, and anatomically shaped. This ensures they remain comfortable, even when worn for extended periods at home, at work, or during recovery.

What is the most popular Herzog stocking?

Within the Herzog range, the Herzog PRO Sport Compression Socks (59.2%) and the Herzog PRO Sport Tubes (27.0%) are the most commonly used socks.

Herzog vs. other compression socks: what is the difference?

What is the difference between (lightly supportive) compression socks and Herzog Compression Stockings?

  • Herzog compression stockings are a recognised medical device whose effectiveness has been scientifically proven.
  • Herzog stockings are unique because the size is determined based onyourLeg measurements. Your leg measurements determine the shape and compression profile of your Herzog stocking. With almost all other compression brands, the size is determined based on your shoe size and/or calf circumference. However, for perfect compression, it's essential to measure five leg measurements. After all, two athletes with the same shoe size can have completely different leg contours. Consider, for example, the difference in calf circumference between a sprinter and a road runner.
  • Compared to other brands, Herzog socks offer significantly more pressure: over 30 mmHg at the ankle and 23 mmHg below the knee. Most other brands only provide a maximum of around 19 mmHg. For optimal blood circulation and injury prevention, 30 mmHg is absolutely essential.

What is the difference between compression tubes and compression stockings?

Compression tubesProvide targeted compression on the calves while leaving the foot free. Ideal if you want to continue wearing your own sports socks.

Compression stockingscover the entire foot and provide extra support to the ankle and Achilles tendon – particularly suitable for recovery after exertion.
