Great compression stockings, top product

So far, very satisfied with the compression socks. They are comfortable and do their job well. Even after long walks over 25 km, no heavy legs or calves

Fast delivery, nice socks

Nice socks. I bought these socks due to a heel spur, and they fit very comfortably. Good compression, but not too tight. I've now walked 14km with them, and that went well. So bring on the Four Days Marches!

Making stockings is one thing, truly helping the customer is another!

Compression socks for this Boomer, the Physio insisted. Any child knows these things pinch, so it's annoying. But Herzog turned out to be a perfect fit for me. The online measurement guide gave me confidence about the right size. Delivery seemed to have issues when I received an SMS saying the address details were incorrect? And that I had to pay again to fix this?? And it absolutely had to be via a RABO account, otherwise the socks couldn't be delivered (again)??? My email to Herzog ('what's going on here?') was answered within an hour: 'nothing! You're a victim of a ****mer'. The actual delivery went smoothly and the 'donning aid' was flawless. Rarely have I felt so well helped online!!

Guaranteed your size

Every athlete is unique. That's why Herzog uses a unique and innovative sizing system that measures the leg at six points. A perfect compression curve guaranteed!

02
Medical precision

Herzog compression stockings are MDR-certified . This means that the compression values are verified and reliable, and that their effectiveness is not only promised but also demonstrably proven.

When you choose Herzog, you're not choosing a 'regular' sports sock, but medically tested compression with a controlled pressure gradient, developed based on medical knowledge and quality standards.

03
Decreasing compression

Pressure class 2 represents firm, medically defined compression (23–32 mmHg). This pressure is high enough to actively support blood circulation, reduce muscle vibration, and promote recovery.

Herzog socks have a controlled, tapering compression gradient that truly meets this class. Thanks to the measuring system and certification, you're assured of consistent, effective pressure distribution.

Why do runners wear compression socks?

Runners wear compression socks to provide extra support to their legs during and after running. The targeted compression supports the calf muscles, reduces muscle vibration, and helps maintain blood circulation. As a result, many runners experience less fatigue or heavy legs during longer or more intensive training sessions.

In addition, compression socks are often used to help alleviate issues such as calf problems, shin splints, and Achilles tendon complaints. Many athletes also choose compression after running to aid recovery and prevent stiff muscles.

Especially during long distances, intensive training weeks, or competitions, many runners therefore opt for compression as additional support.

01
Are compression socks good for long distances?

Yes, many runners wear compression socks specifically during long distances such as half marathons, marathons, and long endurance training sessions. The compression supports the calf muscles, reduces muscle vibrations, and helps maintain blood circulation. As a result, many runners experience less fatigue or heavy legs during prolonged exertion.

In addition, compression socks can provide extra support to sensitive areas such as the calves, Achilles tendons, and shins. Many runners find this beneficial, especially during longer distances when the load on the legs increases. Compression socks are also often used to aid recovery after a long training session or race.

02
Do compression socks help during a marathon?

Yes, many marathon runners wear compression socks during a marathon for extra leg support. Targeted compression helps reduce muscle vibrations in the calves and supports blood circulation during prolonged exertion. As a result, many runners experience less heavy or tired legs during the race.

In addition, compression socks can provide support for sensitive areas such as the calves, Achilles tendons, and shins. Especially in the final kilometers of a marathon, when muscles become fatigued and the strain increases, many athletes find this beneficial.

Compression socks are also often worn after the marathon to aid recovery and reduce stiff legs. However, training, nutrition, and recovery remain the most important factors for a good marathon performance. Compression socks are primarily supplementary support during and after running.

03
What are the benefits of compression socks for runners?

Compression socks offer runners extra support during and after a run. The targeted compression supports the calf muscles and helps reduce muscle vibrations during landing. As a result, many runners experience more stability and less fatigue in their legs during training and races.

In addition, compression helps support blood circulation, which can be beneficial for longer distances or intensive efforts. Many runners also use compression socks for conditions such as calf problems, shin splints, or Achilles tendon issues.

The main benefits of compression socks for runners:

  • calf support during running
  • reduced muscle vibrations
  • less heavy or fatigued legs
  • additional support for long distances
  • support for recovery after exercise
  • beneficial for sensitive calves, shins, or Achilles tendons

Compression socks do not replace proper training or recovery, but they can contribute to greater comfort and support while running.

04
Can compression socks improve your running performance?

Compression socks can contribute to more comfort, support, and stability during running, but they don't automatically make you faster. Many runners experience less muscle vibration, less quickly fatigued legs, and extra calf support with compression during long or intensive training sessions.

In addition, compression socks are widely used to better distribute the load on muscles and tendons. This means they can help reduce or prevent complaints such as calf injuries, shin splints, and Achilles tendon issues in case of overuse.

Compression socks also support blood circulation and recovery after exertion. Especially during long distances, heavy training weeks, or with recurring complaints, many runners therefore choose compression as additional support.

However, training, technique, shoes, and recovery remain the most important factors for performance and injury prevention. Compression socks are primarily supplementary support during and after running.

05
Are compression stockings suitable for beginners?

Yes, compression socks are also suitable for beginner runners. Especially beginners often experience tired calves, stiff legs, or initial overuse injuries because the body still needs to get used to the demands of running. Compression socks can then provide extra support to the calf muscles and help reduce muscle vibrations during running.

In addition, many beginners choose compression to help prevent issues such as shin splints, calf problems, or Achilles tendon problems when building up their training. Many runners also experience less leg fatigue during and after exercise.

However, a gradual training progression, good shoes, and sufficient recovery remain the most important factors. Compression socks are primarily supplementary support for more comfort and stability during running.
