PRO Compression Socks

Do you suffer from muscle pain? Do you want to avoid sports injuries? Herzog PRO Compression socks, also known as compression socks, are effective for calf complaints, shin splint and Achilles tendon problems. The socks reduce the shock load, preventing muscle damage. The socks also ensure optimal removal of waste. This allows you to recover faster and suffer less from cramps and stiff calves.

Working of the PRO Compression Socks

The Herzog PRO Compression Socks have a beneficial effect in three ways before, during and after sports practice;

Injury prevention
Due to the shock-absorbing effect of the socks, there is less tension on your tendons and tibia. There is also less muscle tissue damage. This reduces the risk of Achilles tendon pain, calf complaints and shin sprains.

Can be used for injury treatment
In the event of a micro tear or whiplash, the sock ensures that the wound edges are kept closely together. This accelerates the healing process and reduces the risk of scar formation.

Promotes recovery and performance
The decreasing pressure gradient of the compression sock ensures optimal blood circulation. Because waste products are removed more quickly, you also speed up your recovery

Herzog's unique sizing system

At Herzog we know that every athlete has different calf contours. That is why Herzog works with a measuring system in which the leg is measured at 6 points. For optimal compression effect, it is very important that your socks have a perfect fit. After all, a slender marathon runner with shoe size 39 has completely different contours than a muscular sprinter with the same shoe size.

With Herzog you choose a perfect fit.

What do compression socks do while running?

Compression socks support blood circulation in the lower legs while running. They also help reduce muscle vibrations, allowing the calf muscles to work more efficiently and delaying the feeling of muscle fatigue. Herzog PRO Compression Socks feature a medically engineered graduated compression profile that provides optimal support during both short runs and long-distance training.

01
Do compression stockings help with shin splints?

Yes, compression stockings can help prevent and relieve shin splints.
The targeted pressure of the socks improves blood circulation in the lower leg, reduces muscle vibration, and supports the shinbone with every step. This helps reduce stress on the shinbone and prevent inflammation.

ThePRO Compression Socksare specifically designed to absorb shock and reduce muscle fatigue, reducing the risk of shin splints and speeding recovery.

02
How do compression socks work?

Compression socks apply the highest level of pressure around the ankle, with the pressure gradually decreasing towards the knee. This graduated compression profile supports healthy blood circulation and helps improve the removal of metabolic waste products. Herzog PRO Compression Socks are designed with a precisely engineered compression profile to provide optimal support during sports and endurance activities.

03
When should you wear compression socks?

Compression socks can be worn during training sessions, races and after intense exercise. Many athletes wear Herzog PRO Compression Socks while running for additional muscle support and continue wearing them afterwards to help their legs recover more comfortably.

04
How do I choose the right size compression socks?

A proper fit is essential for compression socks to work effectively. That's why Herzog PRO Compression Socks are selected not only based on shoe size, but also on ankle and calf circumference. This ensures a precise fit, the correct level of compression and maximum comfort during every run.

05
What is the difference between compression tubes and compression stockings?

Compression tubes: provide targeted compression on the calves while leaving the foot free. Ideal if you want to continue wearing your own sports socks.

Compression stockings: cover the entire foot and provide extra support to the ankle and Achilles tendon – particularly suitable for recovery after exertion.

06
Can compression socks support muscle recovery?

Yes. Compression socks can help support recovery after intense training sessions or races. By promoting healthy blood circulation, they may help improve the removal of metabolic waste products, leaving your legs feeling less tired and heavy. Many athletes continue wearing Herzog PRO Compression Socks after exercise to support post-workout recovery.

07
Do compression socks reduce muscle vibrations?

Yes. Every foot strike while running creates small muscle vibrations in the calf muscles. Herzog PRO Compression Socks help reduce these vibrations, allowing the muscles to work more efficiently and fatigue less quickly. This contributes to greater comfort and support during both training sessions and competitions.

08
What makes Herzog PRO Compression Socks different from other compression socks?

Herzog PRO Compression Socks stand out because of their precise fit, which is based not only on shoe size but also on ankle and calf circumference. They also feature a medically engineered graduated compression profile. In addition, Herzog is the only sports compression brand in the Netherlands with MDR certification for sports compression, giving athletes confidence in a product designed with quality, safety and performance in mind.

09
What is the difference between the PRO Compression stockings and the Support stockings?

Both the Herzog PRO Compression Stockings and the Support stockings have a decreasing pressure gradient from the ankle to the knee and ensure that waste products are removed more quickly. The difference between the PRO and Support Socks lies in 2 aspects:

1. The amount of compression
Where the PRO stockings offer a significant amount of compression (32mmHg at ankle level), the Support stockings offer slightly less compression (25 mmHg at ankle level). The PRO stockings are mostly used by runners and athletes who experience a lot of shock load on their calves (running/turning/jumping/sprinting). The Support stockings are ideal for hikers or athletes who put less intensive strain on their bodies.

2. The footbed
In addition, the Support Sock has a slightly thicker footbed than the PRO compression stocking.
