How do you prevent tired legs during winter sports?

The Support Ski Socks for the smart winter sports enthusiast!
What causes tired legs?
Many people don't think about it... When skiing and snowboarding, there is no optimal muscle pumping effect in your calves. Because your lower legs are virtually motionless in your ski or snowboard boots, the blood circulation in your calf muscles is far from ideal. Winter sports enthusiasts often experience tired legs, stiff calves or restless thighs on day two or three. This 'heavy feeling' is easy to explain. It is not surprising that at the end of the day you want nothing more than to quickly take off those heavy ski boots. Due to the static position of your leg in your ski or snowboard boot, the calf muscle pump effect is limited. The blood vessels in your calves are not regularly and rhythmically compressed, causing reduced blood circulation. The result is tired legs and in some cases even crampy symptoms.
What does the Herzog Support Socks do?
The Herzog Support Socks, or the Ski Socks, can prevent these types of discomforts. How exactly does this work? The sock compresses, that is, pushes on your leg muscles in such a way that the highest pressure is exerted on the ankle and decreases towards the knee. The blood in the veins, with the waste products from the combustion process dissolved in it, is therefore adequately drained against gravity, so that the supply of arterial blood is no longer obstructed. This ensures optimal microcirculation. The result is that you feel less tired and can continue skiing or boarding for longer without any problems.
What makes these Ski Socks so special?
The answer is simple: customization. The Herzog Support Ski Sock has an optimal effect due to the special measuring system. At Herzog we take into account that every winter sports enthusiast has unique leg contours. For comparison: a tall skier of 2 meters with shoe size 43 has different calf contours than an agile snowboarder of 1.70 meters with the same shoe size. For an optimal fit, you are supposed to measure your lower leg at a number of points. Would you like to determine your clothing size? You can easily see how to do this via the 'calculate your size' button.
No more cold feet
Do you always suffer from cold feet during your winter sports holiday? Logical, because your feet are far away from your heart and therefore the warm blood does not get there as quickly and easily. Certainly not when the muscle pumping effect of your calves is significantly hindered in your static ski boots. With the Support Ski Sock you are assured of warm toes. The sock has a slightly thicker footbed than our regular PRO Sport Compression Socks and is knitted with micro yarns that guarantee ideal heat exchange.

“During my time as a physiotherapist at NAC Breda, I recommended the PRO Compression Shorts from Herzog Medical to many players. These trousers are worn both preventively and curatively. Within football, the incidence of groin and hamstring injuries is high. With Herzog shorts you, as a physiotherapist, have an extra tool to properly manage these problems.”
