Why is the right size of compression stockings important?
Compression stockings are meant to fit snugly. That is exactly the intention. The pressure on the lower leg supports blood circulation and helps the muscles during movement and recovery. When compression stockings are too large, part of this effect is lost. If they are too small, they can feel uncomfortable. Therefore, it is important to measure compression stockings accurately rather than choosing based solely on shoe size.
The Herzog PRO Compression Stockings fall into compression class 2 and provide a controlled compression pressure of 23–32 mmHg. An accurate fit is particularly important for medical compression.

Why Herzog uses multiple measurement points
Many compression socks are sold solely based on shoe size or a general size chart. However, no two lower legs are the same.
That is why Herzog uses multiple measurement points to ensure the compression fits your legs as well as possible. This creates a precise fit with controlled pressure build-up from the ankle towards the knee.
This ensures better support during movement, more comfort during long distances, less shifting during sports, and optimal compression effect.
Herzog compression socks are used daily by both recreational and elite athletes.
How tight should compression stockings be?
Compression socks should feel firm. Medical compression socks, in particular, provide more pressure than regular sports socks. Many athletes need some time to adjust when wearing compression socks for the first time. This does not immediately mean that the size is wrong. A well-fitting compression sock: fits snugly, does not slip down, provides pain-free support, does not pinch, and does not cause tingling. Are you unsure about the size? Our customer service team will be happy to assist you.
